Sadly, Jacob's discovery of writing utensils directly coincided with our acquisition of this beautiful space. We've already got a little cleaning to do; in fact, I just rubbed some pencil off the kitchen tile with my toe. Yeah, vigilance is key. We really missed being with everyone at the reunion, but neither our lives nor our wallets could take much more this summer!
We bought our couches yesterday at Sam's Club, and we're quite happy with them. We're still not sure what to do with the family room, so we're leaving our options open for now. Sectional? Couch with chairs? Just a bunch of chairs? It's so hard to say. Maybe we'll just spend the money we would have spent on the couches and reupholster Great Grandma's old chair and have it be the sole piece of furniture in there. Or maybe it will continue to be the brown flower wonder that it is and we'll find something a little more practical. Decisions, decisions . . .
(I did just watch the video and the static is horrific. sorry. deal with it.)
