Blessing

This is Marquie! Not Patrick.

First, David's blessing is this Sunday. Our Sacrament meeting starts at 11. We would be thrilled if everyone could come, but of course, we always know that is not possible. Especially with the short notice, we understand if not even those who live close to us can come.

Second,  I'm sorry. I get the feeling we have offended or hurt some family members. This was completely unintentional. We are awful at planning. We have been working with Dad to make sure he could come, and I am sorry, but I really forgot to tell others. Please forgive us. These last 2 months have been more to handle than I could handle, and we've been dealing with that. Only in the past week has life become a little easier to handle.

We love you all so much. David loves you more probably, because he is perfect. If you can and would like to come to his blessing this Sunday, November 2 at 11:00 am, we would love you to be there and share this special event with us. If you cannot or would rather not, we will miss you so much.

If you can come, we will give you the address if our church. We pray for you all every day and love you so much.

Moved

Mom and I feel like the blog title is appropriate after the past weekend and days before.  But now we are moved, and very close to being all moved in.  Need to level the washer and then put up pictures.  And of course there is the every present need to move this from here to there and adjust that and...

A couple of pictures to celebrate.
Mom's new buffet and hutch.  Heavy, sure looks that way!

The living room.  Love the love seats facing each other.

The north end of the family room.  Bookcases are in all four corners.  First time since we build them that they are not is a line on one wall.

The south end of the family room.  Note the distance.  It is really nice and the sound bar wonderfully fills the space.

We were truly blessed with physical and emotional strength to accomplish this task.  We were ready for the men of the ward when they came.  Four men in addition to me.  Two trucks, two trailers and some stuff in the car.  Done in 3.5 hours.   Oh, did we say that the desk and treadmill to the second floor were, well interesting!

The best part of this move is that when the 3.5 hours were done, we were actually pretty much moved in.  We even held bishop's fireside with cinnamon rolls on Sunday.

Our Christmas Gift (last year) to Grandpa and Grandma Workman

Hey family,  in case you don't know or didn't remember, we gave a gift of time to Grandpa and Grandma Workman the month of November.  MM Mouse is part of that gift.  But for you all in Utah, it would be wonderful if you could invite G&G to an event your family is doing during November...family home evening, dinner, ice cream....anything.

Thanks....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARQUIE!!!!!

Our spooky pancakes, thanks to Pioneer Woman.

I have been wanting this garden box done for at least two years.
On the last Saturday before Justin left, he did it for me!

Carving pumpkins the day before he left.

I made peanut butter in my Twister Jar. I didn't know it would
be so delicious!

A walk on the River Trail this morning with Michelle and Jackson.
Well, this was the swing on our walk.

Photo Friday!

Wow!  It really is Friday now!  This has been a strange week and now I am coming down with a cold, so everything will only go downhill, but at least it really is the weekend now.  :)  But I did have a few more pics to share.  I am pretty sure that my kids think I should be taking pictures all the time.  I'm working on it!

Just a blurry 5 month photo.  For some reason all of the non blurry ones were the ones when he was looking in a different direction.  Ugh!

I bought eggs to boil because apparently when they say to boil your older eggs they didn't mean the ones that are 4 days old.  But since that is about as old as they get in my house I thought I should buy some.  The boys couldn't believe the difference.  They were all the same size and color!

They also wanted me to show the difference between the store bought and some of our biggest eggs!

Escaped chickens!!!  But Michael liked the Pied Piper lured them back in, but he did it with food instead of music.  :)

For all you Airline Fanatics out there.

Photo Friday???

Ok, so I just have to tell you that I thought it was Thursday night and I was just a few hours early.  But I now realize it is Wednesday.  Wow!  I am losing my mind.  But I thought I might as well post anyway.

Joshua has spent most of his time over the last couple of weeks making coaster and marble chasing things.  I have been pretty impressed.

Hyrum continues to enjoy playing with Simon.  He found him a bunch of toys to play with.  How sweet!

But then he decided to take them back.  Cracks me up!
No more toys for Simon.  :(  I can't believe how big he is getting, though!

We opened up the chicken run, so they can eat out of the garden anything left over.  But now Hyrum can get into their old run.  New places to play!

We had fun picking pears and then wrapped a bunch up, so they will ripen more slowly.  Hopefully they will be enjoyable for the next month or so!

Jacob was feeling constructive and wanted you to see.  :)

Recent Church Videos

I am curious as to the family's thoughts as to why the church has created a video to inform the world as to the sacredness of our clothing.  Why now?  Is the general membership insecure enough in our covenants we make that we feel we cannot talk about them.  Yes I have been asked why I wear a "special underwear" but I have never felt inadequate in my response as to what it is and why I wear it.  Please don't get me wrong.  I am not criticizing the church.  I love the church with all my heart.  But after these recent YouTube videos, it appears to my that the "church" feels like I have never had the courage or resources to explain the garment to others.  Why is it that something we should hold sacred seems to be "dumbed down" for the masses?  Please I am not criticizing anyone's likes or dislikes of these videos.  I just though it would be better to ask family before I Facebook it.  Really want to know your thoughts.

A Sunday Thought

I found the following video by the Church to be a powerful and succinct explanation of the Temple Garment.

Photo Friday

I can't believe another week is over.  But it has definitely been a fun week.  We will begin with the photos taken that I was unaware of and progress from there.

Hyrum took this picture in the car sometime this week.

I think Hyrum took this as well.  Simon likes to sleep in the car!

Hyrum found Michael doing math!
I went to cook the other day and Hyrum insisted that we all put on aprons.  So, I decided to take a picture which turned into a photo shoot.  Super cute!

Later this week we went to Wildlife Prairie Park.  It was tons of fun and a beautiful day!  Jacob insisted that I take many pictures of him but here are just a couple.

After our field trip we came home to swarms and swarms of lady bugs.  It was out of control!  I couldn't get any pictures of them but here is a picture of what we found inside!   We have been vacuuming these babies up all day!

And we end with just a fun picture of what happens during lunch time.  I had to separate the little ones so I could get anything done!

Photo Friday Early - Time Gone By

In our cleaning out I came across our old camera and we sent it to Goodwill but not before I pulled the SD Card.  I was reviewing the pictures and found they are almost all from Marquie's Senior year prom.  I guess this is mostly for Marquie and Patrick but we can all enjoy.  Great stairway for prom pictures don't you think?
