Photo Friday

Merry Christmas to all!  I hope everyone gets a chance to post their holiday pictures!  I didn't take very many but hopefully between us all there will be a lot of good ones!

Hyrum sporting a new hat while Jodi takes Christmas pictures.

Apparently Hyrum thinks that bowling with your feet is far superior.  He would not be swayed to throw it no matter what we did.

Or you can just lay down on the lane and enjoy the show?

At least he had fun.  The kids bowling lane was perfect for him!

Simon, and everyone else, loved the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  Thanksgiving Point has sure grown!

Snapshot Saturday!

I was going to post an awesome picture of David and Patrick, but it won't load.  So you get what we did tonight. We tried to light our tree... We are struggling. :)

Snapshot Saturday

Here are some fun pics for the week.  I have to admit that I had titled this Photo Friday until James reminded me that it is Saturday.  I really am losing my mind!

I just had to take a picture of all of his friends that he sleeps with- there are at least 5 animals in there.  He cannot go to bed without them.

Hyrum took this fun pic of us doing school time together.

Hyrum has this dinosaur book that has a 'dinosaur song' in it and every time we get to it he has to go and 'play' it on the piano.  It is super cute!  Simon wanted to watch him.

Simon loves this ball, and it will entertain him long enough for me to run a mile or two!  It makes everyone happy!

And Hyrum will read about Bambi or the 'deer' while I run.  What a cutie!

Snapshot Saturday

We are spending most of our time stressing about the drive to Utah that we may start tomorrow (eek!) or Monday. To help distract us, we finished our candy making this morning for our neighborhood gifts. The boys and I got to talk about physical and chemical reactions and in the end, we had toffee. Best lesson ever!

Hopefully the weather clears for us. Here are some boys and their chemistry.

Well, It Is a Photo, But It Is Not Friday

I have again been enjoying reading some family history and given the time of year, and time of month I though I would share a couple of picture from that history.

I am not entirely sure when these pictures were taken.  Given my size I would say late January early February for the first two.  Perhaps when I was blessed.   For the third April or May of 1956.

Note Grandpa's hair cut.  WOW!

That Silver tray in all three pictures sat on the mantel until Grandma passed away.  Given the stature of the person holding me I would guess Larry or Deon.  They was nearly 17/16 respectively when I was born.  Calvin and Roger were 11/10 respectively.

Merry Christmas to you all!

I know you will be traveling and very busy the next couple of weeks.  Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  Someday, maybe we can all be together for Christmas again.  Love you all!

Florida, here we come!
Just a cute Christmas photo I have.

Photo Friday

We ran a whole lot of errands. Ava was happy the whole time
and I was so surprised. When we finally got home (it was dark)
I opened the side door to find that she had taken off her top
carseat straps as well as her shirt! I didn't know such a little
person could do something like that.
Our "dining room" for our Sunday breakfast.
Climbing the rungs of the chair I'm sitting on. Born to climb.
The jumping gym place near our house. We went for "fun day." Ava insisted on
not being left out of the fun.
Vida's hair was NOT in a bun. That's a pony tail. A curly
curly pony tail. Her hair is ridiculously curly. I have been
asked if she's "half something else"and if she's adopted.
All because of that curly hair.
More mischief in her pinky finger than either of my girls' whole bodies.
Jaime fell asleep while sitting next to me in the evening.
We are tiring these kids out...not to mention ourselves.
The stain on the counters. They are lacquered now but I didn't
snap a picture of that yet. Oh, and the cupboard doors are done
and back on!

Finals

Here I am at 7 am, feeding David and being late for a final. Gotta love my cutie. Pretty much throwing on clothes and running as fast as possible out the door.

Justin putting the (new white!) cupboards back up. Okay, I helped too.

We finished the kid version of the Book of Mormon!

Bryce helping Justin prep the mold before pouring the cement.

Vida calling me on the phone...over and over...naked except for a
pearl necklace, with a shirt on her head, using a compact as a cellphone.

Justin feeling manly after cement was poured and troweled.

Jaime helping me create my ugly sweater for the ward Christmas party.

Photo Friday

I have just a few minutes before date night, but I wanted to post this, so mom doesn't come after me.  ;)  These past couple of weeks have consisted of me doing research about cars and trying to find the best fit for our family.  So, it has been crazy, but it is over.  Yea!!!

I know this picture just looks like something the boys took, but there was a story I just had to share.  We were sitting downstairs doing school and Hyrum ran upstairs, grabbed  stool, threw it down the stairs and then flipped it up and down all around the room.  He wouldn't even stop for a picture.  I don't know what was so exciting about it, but he thought it was pretty funny, and it was funny to watch.  I am glad those are study stools!

Simon has upgraded to the high chair.  I just have to say again how much I love this high chair!  He had fun picking at some cheerios.  Hyrum is not a fan of losing his seat, but he learned that he doesn't fit.  He may have learned this lesson the hard way.  :)  But he has fun putting stuffed animals in the seat, so at least he gets to enjoy it a little longer.

And this is why we started our car search.  For going to church this isn't so bad, but I couldn't ask Michael to sit like that for a 20 hour drive to Utah.  It just didn't seem right.  :)

And there she is.  After researching, test driving, running around the countryside and more, we are done!  We will sell our car tonight to a daughter of a friend and be all done.  I am sad to see my baby go.  She has been a good car, and I love her, but I will suck it up and enjoy our new car even if it is a mini-van.  :)

No more classes!!!

No more classes for this semester! How do we celebrate? Bagels. I'm so tired.
