Snapshot Saturday

I don't have a lot of photos, but I figure if I don't share I can't expect others to share.  I would love to see pictures of everyone!  I am glad I get to see some via text.  I love texting!

Simon spends quite a bit of time climbing on this table.  Today he has Hyrum's sandals to play with.

This was worth sharing again.  I love when the boys play with the littlest one!

Michael wanted to climb up this slide that rolls.  Can he do it?

Apparently yes.  I was pretty impressed.  But the best part was going back down.

I hope everyone had a great week!

Snapshot Saturday

This has been a crazy week!  Soccer started and James went back to school all at the same time.  Yikes!

Simon has become quite the climber!  Hyrum and Simon were there together playing with the cards but I couldn't get my phone out in time.  But one is enough!  We have since moved the card games.

We had a flat tire on our trailer to the mower, and we wanted to fix it.  Our neighbor helped us fix a tire on the mower using something called green slime, so we bought all of the tools we needed including an air compressor and spent about an hour figuring it out.  James helped get all the right tools (I messed that up), he set up the compressor and then Michael and I figured out how to take out the valve stem to put in the Green Slime.  We needed a youtube video to help, but man, youtube is amazing!  We did it and no longer had a flat tire.  It amazes me what you can learn to do!

During breakfast cleanup the other day Jacob was whining about sweeping the floor, so Hyrum just jumped in and started sweeping.  Simon even picked up some cheerios!  Little ones are so cute!

I think it was really about the food for Simon, though.  He was checking everywhere for the food.

But then Hyrum decided that taking pictures was more fun, so he traded with me.  :)
I am hoping that this week will be a little less crazy.  Knowing when practices are going into the week should really help.  Lots of crockpot meals this week!  I hope you all had a great week!

MILESTONE MONDAY

Ummmm......whoa......David didn't even say goodbye. Just ran. On the bright side, it only took 5 minutes to drop them off from the time I left home. I love small town.

Snapshot Saturday

I actually have some pictures this week!  Yay!

The 'littles' enjoy playing on the table during school.  Messes are their favorite things to make.

Goofing around during school is always fun.

So many shoes!  Buying size 14 shoes is not as easy as it sounds as I am sure some of you have experienced.

Jacob loves practicing!  And Joshua started taking from a teacher.  $5/lesson . . . I can handle that!

Simon is always willing to pose for a picture.

Hyrum got to finger paint for the first time.  Even the older kids enjoyed it!

Here are their fun creations.
We went with some friends to a rodeo.  The boys had a great time, but this is us relaxing beforehand.  Yes, I do know how to relax.  I'm not very good at it, but I can do it occasionally.

Occasionally I get a cute photo of my cute boys.
Strollers are very handy!  I'm grateful for this free one!

Hyrum started finding boxes of popcorn, so I bought him one.  It seemed like a good idea.

The boys LOVED the rodeo.  They were sad when we left at 9:30, but Simon just couldn't go much longer.  It was a great trip and a fun experience for all.
It has been a fun week!  I can't wait to see pics (or more pics) of your very exciting weeks with graduation and Istanbul!!!

Graduation Day

August 14th, 2015, Provo Utah -
Specifically - DeJong Concert Hall
08:00 College of fine Arts
Graduation

It was a wonderful day to be with Marquie as she walked across the stage to be recognized for earning her degree.  We celebrated with pictures both inside and out and then gathered for a family Celebration at Michelle and Bryce's home with both the Walton's and Hutchings.  Here are some pictures.

Way to go.  Congratulations!

Room 2

Finished painting the boys room today. I learned little boys painting means paint on doors, baseboards, beds, molding, and carpet. Quite a mess, but lots of fun.

Snapshot Sunday

Apparently the little boys aren't taking as many usable photos of late.  I'll have to ask them to work on that!

James and I enjoyed a trip into Chicago to celebrate our anniversary early.  We enjoyed an amazing dinner and show.  And a lot of quiet!  It was a great trip that we definitely needed before the semester started.

Then, we came home and tackled a rather large project.  We pulled plants, mowed down and then mulched the beds around the back of the house.  We put down cardboard first and then a bunch of grass clippings that Michael was kind enough to dump on while mowing.

We started around the corner, but didn't get all the way.  Next, we have to clean up next to the house and continue going through the thistles and the front of the house.  It was hard work, but nothing a little family party couldn't fix!  Food really does fix everything for boys, and I love that!

I haven't taken any pictures lately, but the garden is doing well.  We will get our first zucchini tomorrow, which is very exciting!  And we got to eat our first corn from our garden today.  Yay!  I can't believe our corn survived, but it did and it tastes amazing!  We have been blessed through all of the rain and storms and are grateful for it!  We even got our roof fixed and didn't have to use our insurance because it was such a small repair.  Phew!  Now back to school work and canning!  I love this time of year!

Photo Friday!

Well, it's almost school time, again. Actually, the boys started back this week, already. I get another week, but it's not enough time. Seriously. Here are some photos that describe our lives right now.
I made these adjustable sawhorses for a new desk for my school office. I milled down some timber I used for the set of our play last year and it's my new desk. I thought it was cool.

This is our life. We are rustic people, clearly.

Our anniversary this year is my first day of school, so to celebrate 15 wonderful years, we took a night in Chicago, had fun in the city, are marvelous food, and went to the theatre. Mind blowing was this one, people.

And, to continue the celebration theme, our potatoes did not rot with all of our flooding! They are delicious and perfect. We are grateful.

As always, we miss you and love you and want to spend more time with you.

Photo friday!

Daddy came home early. So, after helping our neighbor get his new calf out of our yard, we thought we would go play. I love Friday!
