As part of the Flagship program, I was required to write an essay about my experiences in China.
I posted it for you all to see, and then I'll probably take it down when whoever wants to read it has read it.
The prompt was this:
"Write me a 5-6 page paper about your experience in China—what you learned about Chinese culture, challenges you faced and how you overcame them, what you really liked, etc."

What a great essay, Jodi. Such a learning experience! Also, because I'm a professor and have to deal with bad essays every moment of my life, thank you for your logical formatting, thesis statements, and well-thought flow. I know—a college education does wonders, doesn't it? Ah, the beauty of the English language!
I was a TA for years and know exactly what you mean.
However, I must confess that once I posted it and realized who would be reading it, I went over it again, changing sentences here and there!
I also must confess that I don't think the professor read it at all. But I got an A! Woohoo.
I know I'm a little slow but I enjoyed reading your essay as well. It is fascinating to read about the experience through your eyes.
