Photo Weekend
Hyrum was bored with climbing on the stairs, so furniture it will be. My kids have always have been and continue to be climbers! At least he got up and down all by himself.
Easter Eve Dinner
We joined some friends in their home tonight for an Easter Eve Dinner...crawfish boil! First time I've ever had crawfish and they are some mean lookin creatures! It was so much fun! The food and the company. Tim said this is what they always had on Easter where he grew up, I think in Lousiana!

Auditions
i sent you all those numerous pictures, right? Well I thought I would tell you which one I chose.
In case I didn't tell you what it was for, I auditioned for Young Ambassadors yesterday. Oh man. We won't even talk about how stressed it made me. Patrick and I have agreed to move on and he assures me he still loves me. What a magnificent guy.
This one! Thanks, Jodi :) |
Results of my audition: I didn't get a callback, but that isn't really surprising. (Oh but I made a new Freshman friend! I've realized I cannot tell who is a freshman or not. And that I look like a freshman. So goes it. I got mistaken for being in Young Womens the other day) Anyways. It was a rough audition, but a good experience. I think that I just went through with it was the real test. So many times during the day I pretty much decided I was no longer auditioning. But how could I have lived with that? QUITTER! Dancing went how a dance audition usually goes for me. Awkward and staring at the person in front of me who actually knows it. Singing was rough, too. I totally messed up the first song, which is a pity cuz it was quite a fun one! But the second was lovely.
So, good experience over and today is AWESOME. Because it is OVER. YAYY!!! Maybe I'll try again next year when I have more coordination... .... and have learned to not procrastinate... ... such great dreams I have. DON'T GIVE UP!
You guys are all great. I love this blog. I miss you all when I don't see you :)

Happy Birthday Mom!
Yes, I am a little late, but we enjoyed spending mom's birthday with her. It isn't often that we get to share birthdays with extended family, so we took full advantage. We played games, ate good food and just relaxed and enjoyed one another's company. Here is a picture of mom right after blowing out her candle on her super delicious French Silk Pie . . . YUMMY!!
Happy Birthday, Mom!

Speaking of Boys and Girls...
Our children had this discussion while we cleaned up dinner today... Daniel is wiping the floor with a rag and Ella is sitting on a stool doing dishes.
Daniel: "Boys are much more awesomer than girls."
Ella: "No their not."
Daniel: "Boys can do so many more things than girls can."
Ella: "Daniel, girls rule and boys drool."
Daniel: "Boys don't drool."
Ella: "There's nothing that boys can do that girls can't. Well, there's one thing but I'm not telling you."
Daniel: "Boys can do a backflip on the trampoline."
Ella (and Michelle and I): "Girls can do that too Daniel."
Daniel: "Well... Boys can spin on their head."
Ella: "Girls can do that too. There's nothing that girls can't do Daniel that boys can. Except one."
Daniel: "Uhhhhg... What is it?"
Ella: "I don't want to tell you."
Daniel: "Please tell me."
Ella: "No I won't."
Daniel (in frustration): "Man!! I don't get it."

Photo Friday
We are visiting mom and dad this week to get away from the stress and chaos. The boys have just loved playing all day, making messes and just having fun without worrying about having the house ready for a stranger to come and look at. Here is a fun picture from today that I thought would make a great photo to share even if I am a day late. So, to all of you sisters out there who left these dresses behind, know that you helped three boys have a blast trying to see if they could look like girls. Enjoy!
(Late) Photo Friday
So I'm a little late on the Photo Friday, but I got nostalgic looking through old pictures and saw this, taken this month 5 years ago. It was the first time I met all of you! My biggest memory of this trip was playing a game with everyone I think was called Hoopla, during which I had to hop like a bunny for some reason and you all laughed and I felt accepted. That, and by the end of the trip Justin and I had picked a wedding date.
Good memories for me. Love you all!
