The Romans and the Greeks had three
main jobs. They were government, teaching, and military. One of the
jobs in the government is in the senate. Teachers taught math,
reading, and more. In the army, you could be a common soldier,
general, or anything in between. There were more jobs, but those
were the main three.
The Romans and Greeks had the thought
that men were better than women. In Rome, the man's job was to
support the family and lead the house. The woman's job was to keep
the house and obey the husband. In Greece, the man's job was to help
feed the family and support them. The woman's job was to keep the
house and assist in running the family. They carried a higher
respect for their women than the Romans.
Romans were similar to the Greeks, but
did have differences. They worshiped the same Gods and they both
owned slaves. The Romans made alliances through war, but the Greeks
made them through trading.
