Hello all,
How are things in your neck of the woods?
We made butternut squash cinnamon rolls when Mom was visiting. When I went to get mine in the kitchen this is what I found and it made me smile.
The last of the carrot harvest. It went into a cabbage soup that was delicious. Things are getting REALLY cold here in Utah the last couple of days and I may have to rip everything out pronto, which sure is a bummer for our many green tomatoes.
Have a great Friday. Hope you are on a date with your sweetheart!

Whoa, those green tomatoes are not done yet...
Pull and hang upside down in the garage, they will ripen. Just pick and put in a box in the garage, they will ripen, just not as well.
Make green tomato relish. I have a recipe.
Now, those carrots on the other hand... Those, fresh from the garden will be missed until next year.
Cinnamon rolls sounds amazing! We made green salsa with our green tomatoes one year. Loved it! It was like chili verde in a can. Granted we canned the salsa and still have some two years later. I really need to teach you how to can. :)
Those cinnamon rolls are amazing. I loved the almond flavor in the frosting it was so great with the pumpkiny flavor of the rolls. I need to make some. Maybe we should do that Liz, next week!
That cinnamon roll looks soooo yummy.
See you in June!
Liz, already finished three batches of pears and one of pear butter this year, with peaches and maybe some othe kind of "butter" or jam ahead.
We did salsa two years ago, but haven't ever done green salsa.
