This picture makes me laugh every time I look at it! We were having the missionaries over and were quickly finishing dinner, so I had just put on some rice to cook when James decided to make some brownies quickly. Instead of bringing his own water to a boil, which would have taken too long, he used my rice. Enjoy!
The family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

Photo Friday
Hello all,
How are things in your neck of the woods?
We made butternut squash cinnamon rolls when Mom was visiting. When I went to get mine in the kitchen this is what I found and it made me smile.
The last of the carrot harvest. It went into a cabbage soup that was delicious. Things are getting REALLY cold here in Utah the last couple of days and I may have to rip everything out pronto, which sure is a bummer for our many green tomatoes.
Have a great Friday. Hope you are on a date with your sweetheart!
Photo Friday!
I made this today. It used to be the pallet that our oven came on. See those empty hooks? Those are for visitors…

Photo Friday :(
I really meant to blog on Friday, and then Saturday, but alas here I am blogging on Sunday yet again. Maybe I should come up with a new photo name for Sunday. :) So, here are some photos from the week!
Hyrum no longer likes being strapped into his seat, so meal time has become a messy occasion. But it is still pretty cute. |
After learning that he doesn't want to eat lettuce, it became a toy. Yummy lettuce drink for me! |
As with most 1 year olds, nothing is safe. He is happy and loving life and getting into EVERYTHING! |

Family Reunion
I want to share some of the fun of family reunion last week. There are way too many pictures to share them all. We had fun. Enjoy -
Can you tell the cotton candy and snow cones were a hit?
Curtis in the role of master snow cone hawker!
The new grandmother trying to remember how it is done...
Roberts and Packard's at the big slide.
Popcorn anyone?
Grandma H's marshmallow blow guns were the hit of the reunion. Could have made twice as many and not had enough. Ammunition was a hit also. Eleven bags worth!
Mom and Matt...
...and Sandy
Daniel who was brave and came away with his arm in tact... Oh, is there a story for this one!
Patrick, what are you doing? Some birthday fun at the Packard's Sunday evening. Happy Birthday!

Fun with Hyrum
I won't insult you by pretending like this is Friday, but here are a couple of pictures of the boys playing with Hyrum. Even though Hyrum is significantly younger than even Jacob they all still have great fun playing with him. So, enjoy some fun pics!
Balloons are everywhere as Joshua has been very busy making anything and everything you can with balloons. We will call this the toddler leash. |

Hyrum loves riding on Michael's back no matter the position as long as Michael crawls around! |
