The family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

Our Roast Beast for today's Tameles
Our good friend, Sal Ciccarello, gave us the meat from 3 large Bonita. Bonita is in the tuna family. I marinated it is an amazing steak marinade and grilled it. It tastes like roast beef, but so much better for you. This is the beginnings of our conference Sunday tamale meat. We are overjoyed.

Photo Friday
I know this is a day late, but this is what I found when I checked in on the little boys before running to meetings, yesterday.

Apple butter from the apples on our tree. We did two batches this size, and one batch of applesauce in quart jars.
Daddy time.

The girls' party on Saturday (indoors because of rain).

The girls rode home in the stroller after church, with Jaime holding Ava on her lap. When we finally got home I lifted the shade and saw this sight. Glad she held on to the end :)

Justin and I stayed up so late sewing this cape for Vida's birthday present, and then she didn't even like it.

I texted this to Justin the other day - a comparison of Vida's 2nd and 3rd birthdays.
Photo Friday
I only have one picture, but it shows a fun new lifestyle for this week and gives a little teaser. :) After this week I think that my dining room would make a fabulous pantry. But I'm not ready to give up my dining room, yet.

Not Snapshot or Photo Anything, Just Dad
Been awhile so I thought I would share just a couple a three pictures.
Youth Conference Photo Gallery. Seven of the eight bishops in the stake
Pam Ivie Kent and Lynne Workman Hutchings. Pam was Mom's best girlfriend in high school. Interestingly I dated Pam before dating mom, almost a year in fact. The three of us shared many fun adventures while singing in Madrigals.
Mom and I have really enjoyed our food preservation this year. Certainly nothing of the magnitude, even a proportional magnitude, of James and Liz but we have enjoyed working together on the process and feel we will be blessed even more because we added to our stores from the work of our own hands.
Love all ya all. Keep the posts coming.

Snapshot Saturday!
Here is what I've been working on, today! I decided the kitchen needed a little more farmhouse fresh style, so I re-cased my window in a Craftsman style. It was much easier than I thought it would be. It makes me want to do more windows this way because I just love it. It also makes me think that I could probably replace a window or two if I had a hankering. A little knowledge really is a dangerous thing…
I really wish we could have all worked on it, together!
