Dad always gets upset when I tell him he looks just like Alec Baldwin. I think it's the ideological differences that bug him. Whatever.

Well…Hyrum and I were watching 30 Rock and this scene came on:

And Hyrum clapped his hands and said "Gampa on! Gampa on!"  Then he rewound it so he could see 'Gampa' again and again. If it helps, he also said "Gampa funny."

Sorry, Dad, but if toddlers say you look like a Baldwin, there's not much you can say to convince us otherwise. Maybe you need to come visit so we can see the subtle differences more clearly…

Snapshot Saturday

Happy Valentines, everyone!  It is basketball season, so we spend a lot of time at practice and games. The boys seem to be having fun, and that is wonderful!  Michael even scored a few times during their first game.  It really helps that he is a head taller that most of the other players.

Hyrum likes our new table area.  It only took us 6 months, but we did take the chalkboards down.  :)

Sitting and watching 2nd and 3rd graders play is not as exciting as they had hoped.

But the third grader was having a blast!

The older boys did what was asked of them, so they got to go to a chocolate tasting with me.  It was pretty good, and they love it!

Michael refuses to show emotion on his face, but he has chocolate on his lip and an empty plate.

Apparently, it was so good he had to shovel it into his mouth.  I think it was a hit!

We had a fun evening eating taco salad while watching National Treasure.  The boys loved it!  And they loved their heart shaped brownies on a stick with some ice cream!  I mean, who wouldn't?  :)

Love you all!

Photo Friday

So many to share today. Also, I miss you all and love you!

The weather has been unusually warm. So we went out and
did a little yard work. The sun felt so nice on our skin.
Ward game night. It was actually pretty clever (life-sized games and such) and fun.
But poorly attended, which made it less fun than it could have been.
(Ava is the tiny turquoise body in the middle, walking up to random people and staring,
as she does so well. Vida is the one in the middle-ish right, squatting eating the
marshmallows that were supposed to be being shot into the black bucket near her. Jaime
is in the red shirt on the far left with Justin, by the giant Shuffle Board that Justin made)
We had a lot of fun making these treats together for the ward party.
We had a Valentine's Day party last week with friends.
I really liked this tray that I set out.
Another very rough week for Ava. I can't figure out what's wrong.
My new glasses! I took this right after I got them, I was so excited!
Lipstick as a reward for cleaning up. I saw someone mention it online and it
worked like a charm.
The evening of my birthday (after a very fun day), Justin and I sat down to
sample each of the treats people brought over for me. It was fun.
Ava being a daredevil. She gets hurt every single day.
Multiple times per day. We need to hire a nanny just for her.

Fun at the hospital on Ethan's bday. Waiting to get the splint on. Broke the radius clean through in a nasty bike accident. Destroyed the other kids bike. The crazy life never ends.

Ethan's manly birthday breakfast. Man cakes!

Photo Friday! On Friday!!

Yes, that title is self-congratulatory. Deal with it. Today's offerings are our oldest and youngest. The first on day four after having a wisdom tooth removed and the second growing so fast that I can actually feel myself aging from minute to minute.
