As we walked the beaches of Emerald Isle, we saw:
The sun rise
And the sun set...we even walked it in the dark by the light of the moon
High tide
and low tide..we got our feet wet and our pant legs damp
The dolphins frolic near the shore
And the birds fly above it...seagulls, pelicans (and maybe sandpipers)
And lots and lots of shells
And very few, but friendly people...God's handiwork is everywhere.
In the fury of the ocean, we found peace.
The family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

I'm her Daddy!
As you know, we pretty much spend our lives at the ball park now days. Ahh, memories... Blah blah blah. SO, we are enjoying April's game Saturday, (having already been at the field for 4 hours), when the pitch is thrown. Ohh, I've got you now. Smack, contact is made and up, up, goes the ball. (I must remind you, we are in 10 and under. Up means easy going to make it to 1st cause no one catches it. ) Into the sun and down it comes.......whomp. In April's glove. I'm pretty sure a short stop never looked so happy. She looked in her glove, looked up, waved, and did a happy dance. What were we doing? Screaming of course. "Yeah April, awesome....." You get the picture, or do you. Have you ever heard Joe scream? I mean really scream. O.k., have you ever heard me scream? I thought so. You couldn't hear me. After such enthusiasm, what better way to finish than yelling.............................. wait for it...................................... "I'm her Daddy." Yes, really. I can't make this stuff up, no time to. Yep, everyone laughed and smiled. He's her Daddy. What a good dad. Reminds me of someone......
Spring
Yeah for all of you, spring is officially here. Well, there. It has been spring here since we moved. Hmmm. WELCOME SPRING!

Another Sunrise Before Departure

This morning was my time for pondering, exercising and praying. Yes, the three definitely go together. I got up and headed to the beach, alone (Mom was very kind to give me the personal time), to enjoy high tide and another sunrise and over an hour of pondering and then prayer. It was a wonderful experience. no huge revelations, just confirmations of directions for the ward.
The morning was foggy so the sunrise was not as crisp as yesterday and I haven't figured out how to take my own picture with my camera (phone) (to prove I was really there) so here is a different sunrise. Love you all.

Proof That we Did It

Family,
It has been three wonderful days so far. Relaxing, being together and walking the beach. We have been on the beach every day since we arrived. Once Wednesday evening, three times yesterday and twice so far today and we will make sure we get there tomorrow before we have to clean up and leave. We brought food and did some shopping so have only eaten one meal out. James, having a place to go that is not a hotel, really nice!
We have read, I have caught up on some bishop work, have spent time pondering and discussing gospel topics and walked the beach. Did I tell you we walked the beach? It is so peaceful and calming. We have been there high tide and low tide. We walked for over an hour this afternoon. What a blessing has been given to us by our friends at home.
