A lady in our Sunday School class just said, "I would hate to be raising kids these days."
I don't mind it, and was forced to smile.

English
I got an English teaching opportunity! I'd be teaching grad students at Nanjing University. I'm very excited about it for many reasons: I get time away from Jaime (I love the girl, but you all understand), I get to work again, and we will have an income again. Yay!

We have an Announcement!!
We are officially introducing the fantastic six. Coming to the Packard home October 2010. We are excited! Love you all!
Jaime's New Voice
Jaime is quite the talker. The first video is a little outdated, so we taped an updated one. Justin had trouble embedding videos from here, so I'm just posting the links for you to copy and paste.
This was about a month ago in the Shanghai train station:

She used to have such a cute little voice, and now it is so loud. Sometimes I swear she's just seeing how loud of a noise she can make. She'll just lay there staring at the ceiling belting her little heart out.

Funny Moment
A few days ago Daniel walked up to me in the living room, sticks his finger into my stomach and says "Hmmm...Squishy." Then, he turned around and walked away as if nothing ever happened. Still makes me laugh:)
Food
I think I spoke too soon when I said that food is better here. I've had some really hard experiences lately where I've disappointed everyone - the people treating us to eat and my poor husband who can't understand why I have trouble eating the food here. Well, no matter the trials, I can now add more to my list of new things I've tried.
- Goose. I first saw it whole, cooked with legs, feet, neck, head, beak and eye balls. Then I watched it be chopped up, with goose liquids spraying with each chop.
- Clam pudding. With whole, open clam shells in it.
- Eel. It had eel skin still attached.
- Thousand-year-old Egg. Not sure why it's called that, but I don't want to know.
I gagged on all but the eel.
